Survivor Cagayan week 7 recap poem (4/9/14)

In scenes from last week two tribes merge into one.
Sarah thinks she’s in charge, but has she jumped the gun?
LJ and Tony play idols that were unnecessary.
Because Kass flipped so Sarah starts forming the jury.

Returning to camp we see Spencer is mad.
Nothing personal. Thinks Kass’ move was bad.
Feeling like number 6 of 6, Kass played her own game.
Plus two idols were flushed out, so she feels no shame.

She made 5 people mad, but then made 5 new friends.
But Spencer’s not sure she can win in the end.
Kass figures her old 5 will forgive betrayal.
But what if they find her odd ‘strategy’ stale?

Kass says Morgan should get water, not be lazy.
That attitude confuses Morgan. Has Kass gone crazy?
Each accuses the other of being rude.
They talk smack to the camera, verifying the feud.

For reward they’re divided into two teams.
Race over teeter-totters, run across balance beams.
Drag a chest to a tower, all must climb to the peak.
Solve a ten-piece puzzle, your food outlook won’t be bleak.

Winners go to an Outback steakhouse: Survivor themed.
Steaks, potatoes, smores, milkshakes! The castaways beamed.
It’s Spencer, Jeremiah, Morgan, LJ and Jefra
versus Kass, Tony, Trish, Woo and Tasha.

The lead goes back and forth, neither team controlling.
Everyone’s moving fast. Nobody’s strolling.
First starting the puzzle is Woo teamed with Kass.
Then LJ and Spencer start solving it fast.

For this 10-piece puzzle it’s vertically stacked,
each piece with pegs and holes on front and on back.
Although Woo and Kass started out with the lead,
Spencer and LJ solved with much more speed.

The losers at camp wonder who to vote next
Try to have Kass decide, but this makes her vexed.
She’s just a free agent, not in their alliance.
So why should she choose Spencer or Jeremiah?

Tony says it’s hard to read Kass’ intentions.
She isn’t betrayed by her facial expressions.
Tony and Woo discuss where the idol could be found.
So they go out searching the trees and the ground.

Reward starts with grilled pineapple margaritas with bacon
Then salad, loaded baked potato, then the steak’s on.
S'mores and mini-milkshakes are served for dessert.
Then Spencer uses a napkin instead of his shirt.

Inside his napkin, Spencer quietly finds
likely clue to an idol. He’s glad that he dined.
Slips it into his pocket with no one the wiser.
Such a valuable prize for this young brainy miser.

When they return to camp, the rain starts to fall.
Spencer sneaks to the woods and then reads his haul.

“Take the road less traveled, a hike beyond your well
A course where rain once journeyed, means you are close enough to tell
This idol is surely buried but you won’t be digging down
A mesh of roots and rocks and dirt hides more power than a crown.”
                                                        - hidden immunity idol clue

At camp they start to realize that Spencer has been gone.
As Spencer finds his spot and starts to search without pants on.
He placed the clue all folded up among his folded pants.
Woo heads out with ninja stealth mode - a speedy zany dance.

Woo knows reward sometimes reveals hidden information.
They meet up and exchange “just out for a walk” relations.
Woo picks up Spencer’s pants and then out falls the clue.
Spencer had not intended to share this info with Woo.

Woo races back to camp real fast - Sonic the Hedgehog style.
For Spencer to keep his advantage he must show some guile.
Woo shares the clue with LJ, who shows it to Tony after.
Spencer returns, rallies his troops for mad treasure hunt laughter.

Now everyone is searching except for Jefra and Trish.
And all these people looking is causing Spencer anguish.
The breadth of this search party even has Tony’s surprised.
He knows that it’s serious - even Morgan’s mobilized.

They’re keeping tabs on Spencer. Woo tells Kass to keep him in sight.
Kass thinks this is all karma for how Spencer acted last night.
Spencer apologizes while his fingers keep on searching.
He’s found the idol but can’t take it with Kass still there lurching.

He waits til she’s not looking then slips it into his pocket.
Nonchalantly walks the other way ensuring not to drop it.
He reads the text alone but it’s not the typical rhyme.
Seems like a normal idol. He may have bought himself time.

I watch Survivor closely, so I noticed, but did you?
They skipped over day 21 - straight on to 22.
I guess nothing noteworthy happened on that middle day.
Maybe they’ll show a secret scene during the finale.

The immunity challenge has them balance on their toes.
A block wedged between their heads and a frame is how they’ll pose.
You’re out if you touch the frame or if you drop the block.
Last one left wins immunity, positioned like a rock.

Kass drops out immediately. Jeremiah and Trish follow.
Then Tony’s out, we’re left with 6. A win here won’t be hollow.
Skip ahead, Morgan and Woo out near minute twenty-five.
LJ, Tasha, Spencer, Jefra. Who will stay alive.

An hour in, now Jefra’s gone. She’s in a lot of pain.
LJ out next, we see this is a big physical drain.
At 90 minutes it still looks like Tasha will last long,
and Jeff says Spencer is awkward looking but very strong.

Without warning Tasha’s block falls. Spencer gets the prize.
He’s wanted this for a long time, you see it in his eyes.
Kass thinks they have no idol, but they don’t want to be deceived.
If one was found and played it’s likely Tasha would receive.

So back at camp the group of 6 comes up with their plan A.
In case there is an idol, vote for Morgan, says LJ.
But just in case something comes up at tribal unforeseen,
they’ll switch their votes from Morgan to Tasha as the plan B.

Morgan doesn’t deserve this, she does nothing but sleep.
But Tony knows that Kass could flip again. She’s not a sheep.
Morgan thinks that Kass should go but Spencer says that’s dumb.
Of all the people left to flip, she’d be the only one.

Tony might do something stupid, so he is their guy.
Since at the drop of a hat they know Kass could change her mind.
So Spencer talks to Kass and tells her she could save some face.
Just vote with us for Tony - your misdeeds could be erased.

Kass knew her old alliance would get over their disdain.
She’ll ponder this proposal to decide if she could gain.
She’s playing for the final 3 and knows that Tony’s charming.
And Morgan’s not a threat, just extra luggage whose annoying.

Trial by ambush is Kass’ favorite strategy,
but it’s not recommended by any authority.
Will she stick with numbers, or go back and rebuild bridges?
Or maybe a plan C to make us scrunch our forehead ridges.

At tribal, individual immunity defends.
Spencer would give it up for a chance to win it in the end.
Morgan says she’s not a threat. Trish couldn’t agree more.
Trish says Morgan can’t win, and gives 3 reasons - maybe 4.

Morgan is used to easy life and says if you could be
either ugly or cute, most would never choose ugly.
Talk shifts to the group of 6. Jefra says they’re all equal.
Each one a link in the chain. No one on top of the hill.

Kass is not in their alliance. She was never guaranteed.
She’s more than happy to sit down with friends that she can beat.
The votes are read, no idol, 6 for Morgan, Tony 4.
8th voted out, the 2nd jury member - there’s the door.

Next time there’s only 9 left. Paranoia running wild.
Allies turn into enemies and that’s putting it mild.
Tony and Woo each want to make a move against a friend.
If LJ and Trish don’t choose sides the 6 could meet their end.
